Unstable Pilon Fracture…very serious, so traumatized leg/ankle after ORIF surgery. 14 stitches out one side, 6 other side, heel also involved. Suffered through so much discomfort for 1 mo. a good part from only hospital sock given to wear with brace boot and liner. I ordered this sock from Amazon and it feels like pure heaven! My boot getting sloppy concerned me greatly…pulling down on my heel as I used my knee scooter. This snugged it up nicely, but not too thick. I would highly suggest anyone getting a walking boot (even if no weight bearing yet) to buy this sock at the beginning of recovery, not later. Unexpected fantastic soft comfort to miserable traumatized injury of broken ankle or leg!!!

HEIGHT- NOT AS PICTURED

First of all, the picture of these socks in the ad is deceiving as they don’t go no where near as high as shown. In the picture it shows about 2″ below the knee and when I put these on there are about a good 8″ below the knee. Maybe if you have short legs these may work for you. Other than that they are really comfortable and I bought them to wear with the boot the foot doc gave me and they are not high enough to protect the skin from rubbing against the inside of boot.

What a difference! The socks/cast liners given to me after surgery were rubbing my skin raw. This is just thick enough to provide some padding and the material is super soft. Such a relief! (Others have commented on how large it is, but that must be because it stretches because I wear a shoe size 7 & it fits perfectly.)

Perfect. Wish someone had told me about these when I got the boot cast instead of 2 weeks before I stopped wearing it!

If you’re in a CAM Walker Boot, order one or two or three of these a soon as you get fitted. My skin did not like being stuck in the itchy, scratchy foam, and this sock keeps you comfy and dry. I’m going to be in this walker boot for 4-6 weeks and am so glad I discovered this during Week 2.

I purchased this sock liner to wear with a walking boot. It’s soft and comfortable, and it keeps the boot from rubbing your skin raw. Great product.
