very nice work sock

I’ve been a mail carrier for 16 years walking 14 miles a day. I have to say these are one of the most durable and comfortable socks That I’ve purchased. They don’t leave any fuzzy on my feet when I take them off at the end of the day… Thank you to Carhartt…Rob

A little thinner than the "Cushioned" style of these socks, but still a great sock in their own right.

I bought these by mistake instead of the “Cushioned” style. In comparison to the “Cushioned” style these socks:

Perfect fit

I honestly don’t know what all the bad reviews about the fit if these socks is about. A long time ago I read a book about the legendary John Wooden who was the head basketball coach at UCLA for many years. I remember one of the first things coach Wooden did was teach his players how to put on their socks and tie their shoes properly. If he wanted socks to fit properly he would have loved these. A little tight? Yes. A little difficult to put on? Yes. But don’t you want our socks to feel good once you get them on? These are much better than socks that slip off your ankle or roll down to your toes. Quite simply they fit perfectly and are very comfortable too. I wear a size 9 shoe and the large size are great even after washing. Don’t believe these reviews about bad fitting socks. Some people are just born to complain about everything.

Large is good fit

I realize that some people have issues that these socks are too thin as work socks, and I agree. My thoughts are that I use these socks as casual wear, which is most of the time. In the Winter when wearing boots, I’ll wear thicker socks. I wear a 11.5 shoe/sneaker and they fit just right.

Good quality socks, be careful of the size you order

These socks are good quality, look good, feel great on your feet when walking a lot. Just make sure you select the right size. If you usually wear a size large you will need an extra large in these. I wear a size 11 shoe and it takes extra large in Carhartt’s work socks. I love the Carhartt quality and looks and will buy more.

These are good socks

Our washing machine is down, so I haven’t had the opportunity yet to see how these socks wash.

Thinner than expected but fit great and are holding up well.

So far these socks are holding up very well and fit as expected. I have a smaller foot with a 7.5 to 8 and many men’s socks are simply too long with the heel ending up coming up the back of my foot and looking silly. They are a bit thinner than I expected. I actually don’t like most dress socks because of how thin they are. I prefer socks a bit thicker because they have more cushion and provide more comfort.

Survived the laundry rituals of third world countries

 on May 8, 2014

My husband is very hard on clothes- especially when he works in other countries. When he recently returned from four months of such work, I observed that it appeared that laundry services there were accomplished with rocks. His clothes were ruined for the most part but these Carhartt socks survived beautifully. It seems like they had faded a bit–I’m guessing everything was washed in hot water-but are in very good condition otherwise.
