I bought these socks for my 4.5 years old son, and they kept his feet warm while in the snow. They are quite thick, and very comfortable. I think their sizes are a bit small, so you may need to order a larger size than your child’s shoe size. My son wears 11.5 size shoes, and I ordered for him the Medium size socks. They were slightly big, but since they may shrink in the laundry, I think it was the right size for him.

Fine, but not ski socks

I wanted a couple of pairs of ski socks, i.e. socks designed specifically for being inside ski boots, for my son, and ordered these. They’ve come and they look like nice warm socks, and they do come up to the knee, but they are not really ski socks as I consider ski socks. Real ski socks are not uniformly thick, but are relatively thin with extra padding only where needed. This are just a bit warm thick pair of knee socks. I’m keeping them – he can use them for sledding and general snow play – but I’ll have to buy some other actual ski socks. So, depending whether you just want warm snow socks or real ski socks, these may or may not be the right sock for you.

I bought these for a trip to Denver for my daughter. She wears a size 4 shoe. The sizing was very vague and I guessed wrong. The socks were way too large. I’ll hang on to them until she grows into them since we are moving to Denver and will certainly have a need for them. They seem to be very warm and of high quality. I’m sure they will be great when she grows into them in a year or two. Please specify what sizes correlate to each size (S-M-L, etc) and they would be perfect.

too thick for ski socks…

these were purchased for my daughter to go with her new ski boots. She is 6x-7 in girls wear and these come up to her knees just fine. However they are too thick for ski socks, especially for new boots. So they will be used for sledding :-p

The socks are ok and they are warm enough, but the quality is not as expected. After 2-3 washes the socks got small rolls over the socks. So they got old very soon.

perfect for ski

Our 5,6 year old girls used it for a week, we didn’t have to wash it, it was dry all the time, warm enough, good size and didn’t shrink in the laundry.

Does the job!

After having much difficulty finding warm socks for my children, I found the Lorpen ski socks on Amazon. My children spent 2 days skiing and snowboarding in northern Michigan. They must have stayed warm, because we had to drag them inside when it was time to go!

Good, thick ski socks. I think these are just as good as Smartwool and a lot more reasonably priced. My 4-year-old son to run hot, however, so it’s not too much of a challenge to keep him warm.

Shrink when washed

Good quality but a lot of shrinkage even when washed in cold water and no dryer used. They do fit small children and not too itchy.

Warm, thick, comfortable

My 10 year old daughter loves these. They aren’t cheap, but they are good cold weather socks. She has only worn them a couple times and they still look like new.
